Our Environmental Ethos
Working with the environment
As a small craft business, we actively work to the mantra to remake, reuse and recycle. Around 50% of our beads are recovered from items donated to charity retail outlets locally, reducing our environmental impact while supporting a wide range of local and worldwide charitable enterprises. We only use beads made from glass, crystal, stone, ceramic, shell or mother of pearl. These materials are hardwearing, hold their finish well and can be reused many times into new exciting items. Our mantra also applies to our display. When you visit our stall, you can see how we have re-employed old materials and items to create a clear and attractive stall display.
Can you help us improve our impact on the environment?
We know we can do more to reduce the environmental impact of our products. We are actively searching for metal and glass recycling organisations to supply our glass beads and metal items, such as hairclips, bookmarks, charms, jewellery findings and split rings made from recycled metals within the UK.
